Camille walks the streets of Paris desperate and alone, suffering from the effects of the most abject poverty from her life as wife to Monet, and facing new responsibilities which she hasn’t the strength to endure. Her love for him is so deep and full that she knows it may cost her life. She understands what she has lost with it.
