Carmel Owen is a composer/lyricist whose new musical, MONET, was presented by the French Consulate of New York to both its French community and select members of the Broadway League on February 5, 2018. Her previous musical, Asylum: The Strange Case Of Mary Lincoln, had a successful off-Broadway run at the York Theatre. Asylum features a book by June Bingham and is available for licensing through the Rodgers and Hammerstein Organization. Currently she is hard a work on Monet, a new musical about the life and career of the great French impressionist.
